The programs are designed for those students who hear God’s call to become vocational ministers (pastors) and chaplains. Please be aware that these are entry-level programs only and that additional schooling and credentialing are normally required to enter these fields.


BACHELOR OF CHAPLAINCY

Requirement: 60 Credits for completion

Tuition: $1,500.00

 

Students pursuing a standard Bachelor of Chaplaincy degree will gain a basic understanding of what it means to be an Industrial Chaplain.  It is a specialized degree ideal for students preparing to work in Industrial Chaplaincy.  It is also ideal for Pastors or Ministry Leaders who desire to have a  knowledge of the difference between the Pastorate and Chaplaincy..


Any student seeking to enroll into the EMET Bachelor’s Degree Program must meet at least one of the following requirements:

(1) The students must have completed an approved 60 Semester Hour Associate Degree Program. In many instances, even an undergraduate degree in a secular field will meet EMET’s requirements.

(2) The student must have completed at least 60 Semester Hours of undergraduate coursework from an approved seminary or college.

(3) The student must meet minimum requirements for Lifetime Credit, which is based upon extensive years of service in the ministry.

MASTER OF DIVINITY

Requirement: 72 Credits for completion

 Tuition: $2,950.00


Most organizations require a Master of Divinity Degree for Chaplains to be eligible for hire.


The Master of Divinity Degree program consists of 72 graduate semester hours representing broad-based work in theology, biblical studies, the arts of ministry and significant ministerial leadership.  This degree pathway prepares you for a career as a Minister, Pastor or Preacher.


Emet's Master of Divinity Degree Program is designed to equip students with the attitudes, knowledge and sills required for Christian ministry as well as providing the Biblical and practical skills to serve as Chaplains in the Police Agencies, Fire Agencies, Hospitals, Hospices, Campus environments, Mortuaries and Funeral Homes, the Workplace, the community and Schools & Military (in select countries). 


Any student seeking to enroll into the EMET Masters Degree Program must meet at least one of the following requirements:

(1) The students must have completed an approved Bachelor's Degree Program. In many instances, even a Bachelor's degree in a secular field will meet EMET’s requirements OR

(2) The student must have completed at least 120 Semester Hours of undergraduate coursework from an approved seminary or college.


All EMET students who have completed an EMET Bachelor Program and maintained a 3.0 GPA are eligible for direct entry into EMET’s Master’s Degree programs. There is a GPA requirement of 3.0 for graduation.

DOCTOR OF MINISTRY  

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN CHAPLAIN MINISTRY

Requirement: 40 Credits for completion

Tuition: $2,250.00

 

Emet offers a General Doctor of Ministry Degree program for those seeking this pathway.  We also offer a Doctor of Philosophy in Chaplain Ministry Degree with concentration in Chaplaincy for Chaplains. 


DOCTOR OF MINISTRY DEGREE:  Our general Doctor of Ministry Degree is designed to give the student an advanced background in areas such as Theology, Biblical Counseling and Pastoral & Leadership Education


DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN CHAPLAIN MINISTRY (CHAPLAINCY CONCENTRATION): This pathway is recommended for Chaplain students who desire a Doctoral Degree in the field of Chaplaincy.   Our Doctor of Philosophy in Chaplain Ministry courses are designed to equip students to be effective Chaplain counselors and help others find freedom from issues such as addiction, anxiety and depression, as well as relationship and marital problems.


Any student seeking to enroll into the EMET Doctoral Degree Program must meet at least one of the following requirements:

(1) The students must have completed an approved Masters Degree Program. In many instances, even a  Masters degree in a secular field will meet EMET’s requirements OR

(2) The student must have completed at least 150 Semester Hours of graduate coursework from an approved seminary or college.


All EMET students who have completed an EMET Master’s Degree Program and maintained a 3.0 GPA are eligible for direct entry into EMET’s Doctoral Degree programs. There is a GPA requirement of 3.0 for graduation.
